Alexis's Blessing and Trip to Charleston

Last Sunday, March 13th, Alexis was blessed at church. After church we went to Charleston for a few days with Sarah and Marc. It was a great break!

It took forever to find a white dress for her (mostly because I was so picky), but finally found the one below. I also figured out how to keep a bow in her hair!

Marc Prickett (Sarah's husband) did the blessing. Don't Sarah and Marc look so cute with Alexis!

Here's a pic with me and my princess. She is truly the light of my life. And she is such a mommy's girl.

Sarah and Marc went to Charleston last weekend and Alexis and I joined them. We stayed in a condo on Edisto Beach, SC. I had left the room for a minute and came back to this. Alexis had picked up the map next to her and was reading it. It was so hilarious. She had her pj's on and a pacifier in her mouth.

While we were in Charleston, of course, we visited dad. She enjoyed visiting her Grandpa. Dad found a John Deere toy to ride. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to find a pink one.

The weather was beautiful while we were there. But, of course, the day we decide to go to the beach, it was 60 degrees and windy. The rest of the time it was about 80 degrees. About 10 minutes away from the beach, it was sunny and warm. It's amazing how the ocean affects the weather of the beach.

Here we are in front of the one of the beautiful houses in Charleston. We had a lot of fun.

Alexis's First Christmas

Yesterday, I celebrated Alexis's first Christmas. It was such a sweet experience. Even though she didn't know what was happening, it was so great to see her spending time with her aunts, uncle, and grandma.

Of course, Alexis had to have a new red Christmas outfit for her first Christmas, so my grandma Beckemeyer and I went to pick one out the week before. Unfortunately, the hat did not fit, so I turned it into a headband instead. Which turned out great, because then you could see all of her beautiful curly hair.

And of course, the behind had to have a ruffle on it. So cute!

Yesterday was another first for Alexis. I fed her rice cereal for the first time. Her Aunt Sarah was making her laugh so hard that the cereal kept falling out of the side of her mouth. But I think she kept a little inside because she actually slept 6 hours straight last night for the first time in a couple months!
When we were done, there was cereal all over her mouth and all over her bib!
